Vintage Casige Toy Sewing Machines


Casige, a toy manufacturer in Germany, made beautiful toy sewing machines from 1902 until 1975.  The toys were used to teach girls how to sew, a necessary skill at the time.  Post World War II machines are marked "Made in Germany, British Zone.


These machines are so well made that many of them still work today.  They are a fantastic collectible for the toy collector and sewist alike.  I decorate my sewing room with them and admire them for their attention to detail and lovely graphics.  Some of my collection are for sale in my Etsy shop:
